Built in 1878 as the home to William Thiemann Grocery and E.P. Bryant Drug Store, later becoming Stroub Rexall Pharmacy. The structure remains true to it’s historic design with cream brick, decorative metal ceiling and Italianate architectural design. Elements of it’s drug store history are evident by the original and elaborate service counter cabinetry.
In 1989, the property was added to the Wisconsin Historical Society of registered properties. In 1994, a local Sheboygan Falls investment group (FGW Investors) restored the building therefore securing it’s place on the National Historical Society’s registry. This renovation effort provided Sheboygan Falls the designation of a Historic Main Street Community, the first city in Wisconsin to be recognized as such.
